Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DushiCharge handles personal data in connection with powerbank rental on Curaçao via physical stations. DushiCharge is the island brand; the service is technically and operationally provided by AA Allround Services (trading as ChargAway), KvK 98216821, established in the Netherlands.

1. Introduction

DushiCharge rents powerbanks through physical stations across Curaçao. Users can rent without creating an account. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, where applicable, Curaçao's Landsverordening bescherming persoonsgegevens (LBp).

2. Who is responsible?

Data controller: AA Allround Services, trading as ChargAway and DushiCharge, KvK number 98216821, established in the Netherlands.

DushiCharge is the brand under which we offer powerbank stations on Curaçao to hospitality venues and guests. Hondsruglaan 12, 9722 SE Groningen, Netherlands.

3. What personal data we process

We only process data necessary for rental, payment and customer support.

3.1 From renters (guests)

  • Name (only when a website form is submitted)
  • Email address (for contact or complaints)
  • Rental data: hire and return times, duration, cost, pickup and return station, type of device rented

3.2 From business customers (partner venues on Curaçao)

  • Contact person name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Business name and location details

3.3 Payment data

Payment data is not stored by DushiCharge itself but processed directly by our payment provider Stripe.

3.4 Customer support

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Content of message or correspondence

DushiCharge does not process GPS location from users via the powerbank itself and does not create marketing profiles.

4. Purposes of processing

  • Performance of the rental agreement (issue, return, transaction records, payment via Stripe)
  • Customer support (questions, reports, issues on Curaçao)
  • Legal obligations (administration, statutory retention)
  • Legitimate interest: fraud prevention, station dashboard management, operational analysis (non-personalised)

5. Legal basis (GDPR / LBp)

We do not use consent as a legal basis for marketing or account tracking; no account is required.

  • Performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — rental and payment
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) — accounting and retention duties
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — fraud prevention, technical management, customer support

6. Minors

Our services are accessible to persons under 16. Where payment is involved, we assume this occurs with parental or guardian consent. We do not target marketing at minors.

7. Retention periods

After expiry, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

  • Transaction and payment data: 7 years (statutory accounting obligation)
  • Rental history: 2 years (legitimate interest)
  • Customer support and contact forms: 1 year
  • Business partner data: duration of partnership + 2 years archiving
  • Internal dashboard logs: 1 year

8. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell personal data or share it for marketing purposes.

8.1 Stripe (payments)

For payments, verification and fraud control. Stripe acts as processor under the GDPR.

8.2 Baji Charging (station system, outside EU)

Technical connection with powerbank stations. Transfers to China occur under appropriate GDPR safeguards (contractual agreements, minimal data processing, security measures).

8.3 Public authorities

Only when we are legally required to provide data.

9. Cookies and tracking

The DushiCharge website uses only functional cookies required for the site to work (e.g. language preference). We currently do not use marketing or analytics cookies.

If we add analytics in the future (e.g. Google Analytics), we will update this policy and adjust our cookie practice before tracking begins.

10. Automated decision-making

DushiCharge does not use automated decision-making, algorithmic assessments or profiling.

11. Security

  • Encrypted connections (SSL/TLS)
  • Secure communication with Stripe
  • Limited employee access
  • No storage of payment data on our own servers
  • Abuse monitoring

12. Your rights

Under the GDPR and LBp you have the right to:

  • Access, correction and erasure (where possible)
  • Restriction of processing and objection to legitimate interest
  • Data portability
  • Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or Curaçao's College Bescherming Persoonsgegevens (CBP)

Requests: hello@dushicharge.com. We respond within 30 days. Data we must retain by law (financial transactions) cannot be deleted.

13. International transfers

Because Baji Charging is established outside the EU/EEA, limited technical data may be processed outside the EEA. We never provide more data than strictly necessary and apply appropriate safeguards.

14. Changes

We may amend this Privacy Policy. The latest version is always published at dushicharge.com/privacy.
